Raising awareness is an important part of the Lupus Fighters of America Foundation's mission. While lupus is widespread, awareness and accurate knowledge about it are lacking. Research shows that although 1.5 million people in the U.S. have lupus, nearly two-thirds of the public knows little or nothing about the disease. In fact, more Americans have lupus than AIDS, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, sickle-cell anemia and cystic fibrosis, making it one of this country’s most prevalent medical problems. In Las Vegas alone, there are over 13,500 people suffering from lupus. Register to "Walk 4 The Cause"
Lupus Fighters of America raises awareness through extensive marketing campaigns, website, social media, broadcast media channels and coverage for our events as well as through our Ambassador Club. Media coverage will span through local, regional and national markets in print and on TV, radio, and the Internet. Our widespread coverage will exist through hard work and establishing ties with the entertainment community of celebrities, athletes, musicians, models and industry executives.
With your assistance, Lupus Fighters of America's Ambassadors Club will bring together celebrities, professional athletes and the like from every arena who are passionate about promoting lupus awareness and supporting the mission of Lupus Fighters of America. By creating an official celebrity & entertainment Ambassadors Club, LFOA is taking a vital step toward improving lupus awareness nationwide.
